The Quality of Merck Generics Medications.

All medications sold in Brazil are evaluated and authorized by Infarmed before being marketed, Merck generic medications are no exception.

The quality assurance requirements for generic medications are exactly the same as for any other pharmaceutical product on the market. The procedures for manufacturing, quality control, bio-equivalence studies, pharmaceutical safety, literature and technical reports, packaging and pricing, follow the same control procedures as their name brand equivalents by the Ministry of Health.

There is a technical and administrative evaluation of the product to guarantee that all lawful requirements are fulfilled in relation to  quality, safety and therapeutic efficiency. The Infarmed committee distributes an evaluation and authorization when the medication is introduced on the market, the same as all brand name medications.
